Native Houstonian Chris Stump has been in the hospitality industry for 18 years. His career began at highly popular La Strada in Montrose, widely known for its electric, high-paced atmosphere. Chris later joined Zula downtown in 2002, where he gained extensive knowledge in fine dining, and then served as Bar Manager for Glass Wall Restaurant. During his 10-year tenure, Chris helped transform the atmosphere of the casual fine dining restaurant into a Heights landmark known for personalized cocktails and menu items for frequent patrons. Featured multiple times as the ‘Heights Bartender to watch,’ Chris constantly looks for creative inspiration for new cocktails while perfecting his skills on classics. As a member of the Bartender’s Guild, Chris explores Houston and other cities, including New Orleans, recognized for excellence, inspiration and knowledge resources in the hospitality industry. Believing that consistent quality is a fundamental component of hospitality, Chris is dedicated to making great cocktails, serving small production wines and creating the best experiences for his guests. His passion for his craft brings happiness to patrons everyday. In his free time, Chris cheers for Houston sports teams, travels with his wife and entertains friends and family.
